Job Title: Project and Technical Coordinator MMS

Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Reports to: Deputy Country Director

Know Our Team:

  • Nutrition International’s Program Operations Unit is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of Nutrition International’s core program interventions including program development, design, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting, and grant management, including setting annual operational planning, budgeting, and review processes.
  • The unit comprises a global team of professionals located in our 10 core countries across Asia, Africa and our headquarters in Ottawa, Canada.
  • The Project and Technical Coordinator will guide and facilitate the implementation, project planning, monitoring, and reporting on this project and other future projects that may fall under this portfolio.

About the Role
In this role you will be:

  • Responsible for coordinating NI’s MMS implementation research project in Nigeria.
  • The Project and Technical Coordinator will guide and facilitate the implementation, project planning, monitoring, and reporting on this project and other future projects that may fall under this portfolio.
  • The Project and Technical Coordinator will build and maintain strong productive relations with multiple stakeholders, including NI’s regional and headquarter teams, NI consultants, Federal and State Governments of Nigeria, the MMS Technical Advisory Group (TAG), and potentially UN agencies, other NGOs, research bodies, and other global and regional stakeholders.
  • The Project and Technical Coordinator will be responsible for effective and efficient project management and oversight, providing regular reporting and advising on remedial actions, as required.

About You

  • You will have a Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Management, International Development, Public Health, Nutrition or other related area.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in coordination of programs in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field essential, including coordinating finances and human resources and 5 years’ experience conducting research or coordinating research project.
  • At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in networking with international partners and country government, desirable
